Executive meeting:                                                                            October 11, 2007

Members in attendance: Stacey Hitesman, President; Joanne Schreiber, President-elect; Sarah Klein-Mark, Secretary/Treasuser; Gayle Baingo, Nominating Committee Chair
  1. order of events for Fall conference 2007 was reviewed
  2. discussion about Spring conference for April 11, 2008 in Prescott or Sedona – this will be discussed in more detail with the membership at the Business Meeting tomorrow, Joanne has chosen Prescott to be the location.
  3. discussion about teleconference in Kingman or Tuba City. December 13, 2007. Choose your Foods: Exchange Lists for Diabetes ($109) – all agreed this would be a good topic; location of Tuba City area chosen due to more requests for CEUs in that area by the membership
  4. announcement that the bylaws have been approved by the state association
  5. copies of job descriptions – Stacey provided updated copies of all job descriptions to the executive board
  6. nominating committee is to be working on awardee nominations (RYDY, ODY, Lifetime Achievement as a Dietitian) and officer (district and state) nominations – noted that Susan Dehaybi, recipient of Lifetime Achievement Award passed away recently;
    Gayle Baingo is now the Nominating Committee Chair as Andrea Grondwalski has moved out of state
  7. Goal focused task teams have been established at the state level. Stacey outlined which AZDA-N executive members have been assigned to each team:
    Kathleen Williams- increase membership
    Gayle Baingo- leadership development
    Stacey Hitesman- Public Policy
    Joanne Schreiber-CPEU Opportunities
