Completes high-risk assessment & provides nutr counseling for approp WIC clients; completes doc of high-risk care plans in computer system on approp WIC clients; evals & approves WIC special formula medical forms by physicians; prescribes special food pkgs as approp according to documented nutr risk; communicates with health care providers re: nutr issues of high-risk clients; evals & assists WIC clients who are breastfeeding to maintain mother/baby dyad. Minimum of Bachelor's of Science in Nutrition & Dietetics. Must hold current registration with Commission on Dietetic Registration for Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics AND three years experience working in a health field AND valid driver's license OR equivalent combo of education, training & experience.
Ability to obtain training & receive certification in breastfeeding counseling.
