Primarily responsible for determining eligibility/ineligibility of persons applying for the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC), counseling clients on determined needs & facilitation of all other nutrition-related programs and coordinates with stakeholders.
High school diploma or GED from accredited institution. Documented excellence in customer service w/ ability to interact with & instruct clients from beginner to advanced levels. Working knowledge of current Microsoft Office applications and relevant program-related applications. Competency working with people of various cultures. Evidence of valid Arizona drivers license & current auto insurance. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Prioritization and multitask skills are required. See website
Four year college degree in Nutrition OR Registration as Dietetic Technician with Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics or equivalent experience preferred.Demonstrated experience as Advocate for Health Care or Human RightsMasters degree in Nutrition, Education, or other relevant field of studyRegistration as a Dietitian with Academy of Nutrition & DieteticsCertification by International Board of Lactation Consultant ExaminersFluency in a language in addition to English (Spanish preferred)
