Primarily responsible for promotion, training and nutrition education for clients enrolled in the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) and any other nutrition-related programs. Will also act as a referral resource to appropriate organization services and resources. Coordinates activities with stakeholders.
Four-year degree in Dietetics or nutrition-related degree & preferred 2 years’ experience in community or clinical nutr ed programs or completion of dietetic internship with RD/RDN credentials. Must hold credentials as Registered Dietitian (RD) with the Commission on Dietetic Registration. Documented excellence in customer service w/ ability to interact with & instruct employees/clients from beginner-advanced levels. Competency in nutr educ methods & techniques. Bilingual preferred. Master’s degree in Nutrition, Education or other relevant field of study preferred. International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) credentials with the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners preferred. Demonstrated experience as an Advocate for Health Care or Human Rights.
