MEDICARE COVERAGE FOR OBESITY COUNSELING
Medicare will now cover obesity counseling services under the coordination of the primary care provider and WITHOUT direct payment to registered dietitians.
Click here to sign ADA's petition to President Obama urging CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services) to include RDs in obesity treatment. We need 25,000 signatures for the White House to review. This petition can be signed by anyone, health professionals, friends, family, the general public. Please post the message to your Facebook and Twitter accounts and spread the word.

Celebrate the New Year, ALL YEAR, with twelve months of food-related photos taken by your colleagues! The EatRight 2012 calendar features photos taken by the finalists in this year’s second annual Journal photo contest and includes dozens of important dates for dietetics practitioners. Offered back in September at FNCE, we’ve received so many calls from RDs and DTRs wanting to have their own memento of this artwork inspired by the practice and science of food, nutrition, and dietetics that we’re making them available for only $12 from our Member Service Center.

I am pleased to announce that AZDA has been selected to present our new website (www.eatrightarizona.org) as a best practice to approximately 120 affiliate leaders nationwide at the 2011 ADA FNCE Affiliate Training. At this presentation I will highlight features of our website that have enhanced service to our membership. Way to go AZDA!
