Honors and Awards

Every year several nutrition professionals are recognized for outstanding achievements:

• Recognized Young Dietitian of the year (RYDY)
• Recognized Dietetic Technician of the year (RDTY)
• Emerging Leader of the Year (ELY)
• Outstanding Dietitian of the Year (ODY)

Each state is also allowed to recognize one student from each type of dietetics education program:

• Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD)
• Dietetic Internship (DI)
• Coordinated Program (CP)
• Dietetic Technician Program (DT)
