Primarily responsible for determining eligibility/ineligibility of persons applying for the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC), counseling clients of the Program on determined needs, and facilitation of all other nutrition-related programs and coordinates with stakeholders.
High school diploma or GED from accredited institution.Documented excellence in customer service w/ ability to interact w/ & instruct clients from beginner to advanced levels. Working knowledge of current Microsoft Office applications & relevant program-related applications. Competency working w/ people of various cultures. Evidence of valid AZ driver’s license and current auto insurance. Ability to keep confidentiality. Prioritization & multitask skills are required. Travel to multiple locs.
Four-year college degree in Nutrition OR registration as Dietetic Technician w/ Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics or equivalent experience preferredDemonstrated experience as Advocate for Health Care or Human RightsMaster’s degree in Nutrition, Educ, or other relevant field of studyRegistration as a Dietitian with Academy of Nutrition and DieteticsCertification by International Board of Lactation Consultant ExaminersFluency in a language in addition to English (Spanish preferred)
