The Nutrition Education Specialist, under general supervision, screens, certifies, and provides comprehensive nutrition assessments to participants for the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC), provides participant-centered services according to federal guidelines, rules and regulations.
A minimum of a High School Diploma, GED, associate non-nutrition or nutrition degree, non-nutrition Bachelors degree, with or without 12 credit hours of college level nutrition courses, and any combination of training, education, and/or experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position. Must have a valid Arizona Driver’s License.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.
