Under the direction of the Office Chief for the WIC Nutrition, Breastfeeding, and Training Services team, this position is responsible for the direct supervision of two senior managers and one Program staff, and three indirect reports. This position will provide oversight and coordination of the WIC Nutrition Services team activities in support of the mission and vision of BNPA and ADHS in accordance with federal rules and regulations.
Registered Dietitian as required by USDA federal regulations 7CFR 246.3. Knowledge of: principles & practices of public hlth & health care systems, USDA WIC & other federal nutrition programs; Fed & State statutes & agency rules, regs, policies & procedures re: delivery of local services; community assessment & training methods, procedures & techniques; developing, implementing & maintaining systems for reporting & financial reconciliation. Master's degree in Nutrition or related field such as Public Health. Preference given to applicants with five or more years of progressive Public Health WIC experience in one or more of the functions related to the duties described.
