• Assist RDNs in providing Medical Nutrition Therapy and Nutrition Counseling (individualized diet therapy, general nutrition principles, and food selection and preparation).• Facilitates group classes and other nutrition classes in person and/or virtually.• Responsible for outreach to referring physician offices to maintain communication and referrals.• Communicate with patients and medical providers for continuity of care.• Other tasks as assigned by management.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in nutrition or related field.• Nutrition and Dietetics Technicians, Registered, credentialed by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).• Current liability insurance (within 2 weeks).• TB test (within 2 weeks).• Current fingerprint clearance card (within 90 days).• CPR Certification (within 30 days)
• Bilingual is preferred (English/Spanish)• Ability to work and travel throughout Arizona.• Experience in principles of human nutrition, diet therapy principles and practices, menu planning.• Basic familiarity Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Nutrition Care Process and the International Dietetics and Nutrition Terminology (IDNT).• Understanding of electronic medical record charting.• Effectively communicate with others, both verbally and in writing.
